Now that so many people are taking note of all the great creations from a new company and its trusted and experienced creators, it’s time for an expansion of talent and experiences. Along with Rook, Geiger, and Redcoat, GM is looking into other genres and areas where they can get get noticed and give fans more of what they want. That includes bringing in additional creative talent, coming up with new ideas, and creating characters fans will want to see more of in the future.
The Move Into Horror Options
With the increasing popularity of Ghost Machine it’s only natural that the comics would make their way into the horror universe. Hyde Street will become part of the mix of offerings from the company, with its debut in October 2024, just in time for Halloween. Two comics are coming out that month. The first one is the start of the Hyde Street series, and the second is a one-shot called It Happened on Hyde Street: Devour. The series opener will come out early in the month, with Devour coming out right at Halloween, just in time for the height of spooky season. Interested readers can check out teasers for the comics, so they know what to expect.
Planning for an On-Time Release
Both comics are planned to be released on time, and the creators at GM will make sure they have plenty of copies available. They’ve had unexpected experiences in the past where they’ve sold out their print runs and had to ask fans to wait patiently for more. The goal is to avoid that for future comics, although selling out and needing to print more copies is a great problem to have. Readers who want to check out Hyde Street can mark their calendars and be ready for the release dates.
New Creators to Add to the Team
GM creators Ivan Reis, Danny Miki, Geoff Johns, Rob Leigh, Brad Anderson, and Maytal Zchut have all collaborated to bring the company’s comics to life, with Zchut’s debut coming with Devour. The abilities and collaborative efforts of the team at GM showcases the value they’re providing to readers and comic book lovers everywhere, and bringing on new talent is a way to add fresh ideas and a new perspective to what’s already a quality team.
The Darker Side of Imagination
Focusing on horror comics lets creators explore the darker and more sinister side of their imagination, for readers who enjoy being scared and challenged by new characters and situations. With the effort put into the Hyde Street comics, readers who like a thrilling and spine-tingling comic experience should get a lot more than their money’s worth.
